Brand New Bio!
One night in a dream, the ghost of Joe Hill came to me and said that I need to start a revolution...Then Che and Lennin showed up and started playing hackey sack with Richard Nixon's testicles. I woke up in a cold sweat, knowing that it had to mean something. Best I could figure out, it meant, "start a political punk band." My direction in life had been set, much to the dismay of my parents. The original Negative Utopia looked much different than the powerhouse force of today, but that's because we were but a fraction of the current awesome. I sang through a small guitar amp, Davey Negative had a Johnson guitar (I don't know either), and the bassist (who shall remain nameless) made Henry Rollins look like a well balanced individual. As for the drummer...Well, we didn't have one at the time. Yes the only revolution we were starting was against our own ear drums. To make a long story slightly shorter, we got ourselves a bassist about as committed to the band as David Duke is to the NAACP, and a drummer who was more than qualified (he actually owned a drum set). Adam Adorable and Beat Box Bassam rounded off our coup d'etat of noise. Then, something terrible happened. While exploring the Australian Outback, Adam Adorable was ravaged by rabid koala bears and eaten. He will always be in our hearts. Then, along comes Casey Metal. Nothing says Punk Rock like Heavy Metal, and under the same qualifications we obtained Bassam, Casey found his place in the Negative Utopia legacy. What will the future hold for this band of haughty punkers? Alien invasions? Destruction of the capitalist infostructure? Ice cream, and lot's of it? Only time will tell. |
